Brahmavihara Monastery & Retreat Centre Rules & Regulations
All lay residents at the Brahmavihara Monastery & retreat Centre must abide by the following rules:1. A completed boarding application form must be submitted.
2. Maintain appropriate physical distance from monastics (especially for women). Female residents must not be alone in a room with monastics.
3. Do not take or remove any items belonging to the Monastery without permission.
4. Do not request special accommodations or extra provisions (e.g., meals or daily necessities) beyond what is generally offered.
5. When the Monastery is at full capacity, residents must accept shared accommodation arrangements and may not occupy a room exclusively.
6. The Monastery does not provide keys to living quarters. For personal storage, lockers are available for residents’ use.
7. Residents must be in good health, free from contagious diseases. Any existing medical conditions must be fully disclosed.
8. Maintain good personal and public hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
9. Dress modestly and simply; unusual or revealing clothing (such as shorts or short skirts) is not permitted.
10. Do not enter others’ living quarters for casual conversation. Entering the rooms of the opposite gender is strictly prohibited.
11. Please refrain from bringing valuables. If necessary, you are responsible for their safekeeping, as the Monastery assumes no liability.
12. Maintain a quiet atmosphere within the Monastery; speak softly.
13. Turn off lights and faucets when leaving rooms or common areas.
14. All residents must treat each other with respect and loving-kindness. Gossiping and quarreling are not permitted.
梵行寺禅林 林规
凡于梵行寺禅林寄宿之在家众，皆须遵守下列规约：
1. 须完整填写寄宿申请表。
2. 须与僧众保持适当身体距离（女众尤须注意）。女众不得与僧众独处一室。
3. 不得擅自取用或带走中心所属物品。
4. 不得要求梵行寺禅林提供超出常例之特别照顾（如膳食及日常必需品等）。
5. 信众较多时，须接受房间、床位协调安排，不得独占寮房。
6. 本中心不提供寮房门锁钥匙。为便利个人物品保管，中心提供储物柜（locker）供寄宿者使用。
7. 身体健康，无传染性疾病。若有任何宿疾，须如实告知。
8. 须维护公共及个人卫生与整洁。
9. 衣着应朴素庄重，不穿奇装异服。避免穿着短裤、短裙等过于暴露的服装。
10. 不得擅入他人寮房闲聊，男女众严禁互闯寮房。
11. 请勿携带贵重物品。若有必要，请自行妥善保管，中心概不负责。
12. 中心区域内请保持安静，轻声细语。
13. 离开房间或公共区域时，请随手关闭电灯及水龙头。
14. 所有寄宿者须彼此尊重与慈爱，不得闲言生事或发生争吵。
